Build the binder
Open all 60 cards as a new binder, most yellow first. It takes 7 pages in a 9-pocket binder (4 sheets). Swap in your own cards, then tick ✓ what you own so the rest becomes your want list.
Adds a new binder to your workspace. Nothing you already have is changed.
How we picked them
Each card image was shrunk down and every pixel sorted by hue, ignoring greys, whites and near-blacks. A card made the list when yellow covered a large share of it and clearly beat every other color. Trainer and Energy cards are left out so the pages are all Pokémon, and no Pokémon appears more than twice so the binder stays varied.
Color is measured on the whole card, frame included, because that's what you see when the binder is open. If a pick looks off to you, swap it out: the template is just a starting point.
Tips for a yellow binder
- Mix gold and yellow carefully. Metallic gold cards read darker than bright yellow ones, so group them on their own page.
- Lead with electric types. A page of electric Pokémon is an easy, recognizable yellow theme to start from.
- Pair with purple. Yellow and purple are complementary, so a facing purple page gives a striking spread.
