How we picked them
Each card image was shrunk down and every pixel sorted by hue, ignoring greys, whites and near-blacks. A card made the list when blue covered a large share of it and clearly beat every other color. Trainer and Energy cards are left out so the pages are all Pokémon, and no Pokémon appears more than twice so the binder stays varied.
Color is measured on the whole card, frame included, because that's what you see when the binder is open. If a pick looks off to you, swap it out: the template is just a starting point.
Tips for a blue binder
- Go from sky to sea. Put pale sky blues at the top of each page and deep ocean blues at the bottom.
- Make a water spread. Cards with underwater or rainy backgrounds connect beautifully across a binder spread.
- Warm it up with orange. A single orange card in the center pocket of a blue page becomes an instant focal point.
