How we picked them

Each card image was shrunk down and every pixel sorted by hue, ignoring greys, whites and near-blacks. A card made the list when dark covered a large share of it and clearly beat every other color. Trainer and Energy cards are left out so the pages are all Pokémon, and no Pokémon appears more than twice so the binder stays varied.

Color is measured on the whole card, frame included, because that's what you see when the binder is open. If a pick looks off to you, swap it out: the template is just a starting point.

Tips for a dark binder

Use a black binder. Dark cards look best on dark pages, and the borders almost disappear.
Spotlight one bright card. A single colorful card in the middle of a dark page draws the eye straight to it.
Divide your rainbow. One dark page between colors makes each color change feel deliberate.
