How we picked them

Each card image was shrunk down and every pixel sorted by hue, ignoring greys, whites and near-blacks. A card made the list when orange covered a large share of it and clearly beat every other color. Trainer and Energy cards are left out so the pages are all Pokémon, and no Pokémon appears more than twice so the binder stays varied.

Color is measured on the whole card, frame included, because that's what you see when the binder is open. If a pick looks off to you, swap it out: the template is just a starting point.

Tips for a orange binder

• Bridge red and yellow. Orange is the natural middle of a warm gradient, so place it between those two colors in a rainbow binder.
• Try a sunset page. Run cards from deep orange at the bottom row to pale peach at the top.
• Contrast with blue. Orange and blue sit opposite each other on the color wheel, so a facing blue page makes both pop.
